Inhalt |
The lecture gives an overview on Swiss law and provides incoming students with the background for their legal studies in Switzerland. Therefore participation is highly recommended. The lecture comprises four main parts: constitutional history and constitutional law, i.e. the organisational structure of the Swiss State, the human rights and the very specific democratic political rights in Switzerland as well as criminal law and civil law. The lecture will be taught not only in class, but on excursions as well, e.g. to Berne and the prison of Thorberg.
