One of the main challenges of a data scientist is to communicate practical implications of quantitative analyses in an approachable and stimulating way. Data visualization is an essential part of exploring and sharing insights of both small and large-scale data. This course focuses on data visualization best practice and storytelling. Students will learn how to best use visualization to convey clear insights and how to leverage state-of-the-art visualization software. This course includes theoretical sessions (presentation of the core principles of data visualization), hands-on sessions (creation of a dashboard) as well as discussions of real life examples. |
