Inhalt Organizations face many challenges, among them are questions related to their human resources. In this seminar, three organizations provide a current HR related question as a topic to investigate. Students work in groups on findings evidence-based solutions to these real-life HR cases and present their findings in a written project thesis and in a final presentation in front of their peers and the project sponsors of the three organizations.
In this seminar, you interact with the organizations to develop scientific, evidence-based solutions. To solve the organizations’ current HR challenges, you learn the basics of project management, you draw on scientific literature to approach the practical, real-life HR research questions, apply empirical methods to investigate the research question and develop an evidence-based solution. During the semester, you present and discuss your progress in the seminar.
Lernziele - Students learn problem-solving competence to solve practical HR questions by developing structured ideas for scientific, evidence-based solutions.
- Students know basic project management tools and manage their own projects.
- Students identify links and forces within organizations and apply their HRM knowledge from bachelor and master studies to real-life HR question.
- Students work in groups on assigned projects and use the strengths of every individual for solving their task. Additionally, students interact with experts from practice.
Voraussetzungen You have already participated in Strategic HRM or you are currently enrolled in the course Strategic HRM.

Anmeldung To attend the course / exercise, registration via e-learning platform OLAT is required. Registration is possible from 8 February to 5 March 2021. The students themselves are responsible for checking the creditability of the course to their course of study. Direct link to OLAT course:
