| Inhalt |
One of the main challenges of a data scientist is to communicate practical implications of quantitative analyses in an approachable and stimulating way. Data visualization is an essential partof exploring and sharing insights of both small and large-scale data. The focus of this course is on data visualization best practice and storytelling. Students will learn how to best use visualization to convey clear insights and how to leverage a state-of-the-art visualization software. The course will be composed of theoretical sessions (presentation of the core principles of data visualization), hands-on sessions as well as discussions (of the students‘ work for examples). |
| Lernziele |
In this course, students will:
1. Learn the core principles of data visualization and storytelling
2. Build their own dashboard on a question and/or data of their choice
3. Develop critical judgment around data visualizations. |

1. Solid knowledge in data analysis: collect, clean, organize and analyze data
2. Willingness to actively participate and contribute to the class. |

To attend the course / exercise, registration via e-learning platform OLAT is required. Registration is possible from 7 February to 4 March 2022. The students themselves are responsible for checking the creditability of the course to their course of study.
