Inhalt |
This course focuses on health policy and social policy developments in a comparative perspective. After introducing different health system and welfare state typologies, the course is structured in three parts: Part I explores the determinants of health and social policy, focusing on key actors including political parties, interest groups, and institutions. Part II explores the consequences of health and social policies on health outcomes and health inequalities, as well as its relationship between health and climate change. Finally, part III explores the politics of health care reform, discussing how health and social care could be integrated, how to address the health workforce crisis, and how trust and polarization affect contemporary health politics. |
