Lernziele |
This course gives students detailed insight into the role that physical activity plays in the maintenance, promotion and optimization of human health. The primary focus will be on structured exercise and sports, and the effects of these activities on physical, psychological and cognitive functioning. Students will learn about the main parameters in the assessment of physical activity and its effects, and current evidence for the effectiveness of physical activity in the prevention of health problems. Interventions to promote physical activity will be given particular attention. Additionally, topics including sports medicine, gender and adapted physical activity will be addressed.
Students are given the opportunity to select the topics which interest them, and focus on these in the preparation of their class assignment and final paper. |
