Inhalt |
More than just a method, Grounded Theory represents a broader understanding of qualitative research: a methodology aimed at developing theories from empirical data. The approach has been applied across various fields of social science, with focal areas ranging from health-related topics to foundational sociological research. Despite this widespread use, misunderstandings persist about the methodology’s exact nature, procedures, and intended outcomes. This seminar aims to provide an in-depth understanding of Grounded Theory. On the one hand, both foundational texts as well as recent developments within the methodology will be discussed. On the other hand, participants will explore the various aspects of Grounded Theory through practical application. This includes concrete techniques such as different coding steps and implementing projects with the help of software. Ultimately, participants will therefore grasp the essential characteristics of Grounded Theory through hands-on research practices. |
