Inhalt The Winter LIFE School on Health and Well-being is a three-day interdisciplinary program designed for PhD students and early-career researchers seeking to explore the relationship between health and well-being through the lens of human functioning. Rather than focusing on disease or morbidity, the course examines how health systems, policies, and services can enhance individuals' functioning and quality of life. Participants will engage with historical, philosophical, and economic perspectives on well-being, learn qualitative and quantitative methods for capturing lived health experiences, and explore how functioning can be integrated into healthcare innovation and policy. The program includes lectures, interactive workshops, and panel discussions that encourage participants to rethink health research and practice, drawing from disciplines such as philosophy, economics, health sciences, and social sciences. With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration, the course fosters critical discussions on how to design health systems that empower individuals and communities to thrive.
