One of the main challenges of a data scientist is to communicate practical implications of quantitative analyses in an approachable and stimulating way. Data visualization is an essential part of exploring and sharing insights of both small and large-scale data. The focus of this course is on data visualization best practice and storytelling. Students will learn how to best use visualization and narrative to convey clear insights. The course will be composed of theoretical sessions (presentation of the core principles of data visualization, for example), hands-on sessions as well as discussions (of the students‘ work, for examples). |
