Personalized prompting skills for literature review and academic writing (not data analysis). Participants will learn how to craft effective prompts, moving beyond basic queries to leverage AI as a research co-pilot. Ethical and legal guidelines and appropriate scientific conduct will be discussed. |
| Lernziele |
Upon completion of this workshop, students should be able to:
- Understand Core Principles: Define key concepts of large language models (LLMs) and prompt engineering, understanding how they function and their specific applications within health science research.
- Formulate Effective Prompts: Develop and refine structured prompts to effectively retrieve, synthesize, summarize, and critically analyze complex health science information (e.g., for literature reviews, understanding methodologies, or help with generating hypotheses).
- Critically Evaluate AI Outputs: Establish and apply criteria to critically assess the accuracy, relevance, potential biases, and limitations of AI-generated content, particularly concerning clinical data, research findings, and ethical considerations.
- Integrate AI into Research Workflow: Apply advanced prompting techniques to practical PhD research tasks, such as brainstorming research questions, and receiving feedback on manuscript structure, flow and self-written text.
- Address Ethical & Responsible Use: Identify and discuss the key ethical implications, data privacy issues, and principles of responsible AI use specific to the health science domain.
