Inhalt |
The aim of this course is to learn the methodology and practice the steps of evaluating policy interventions targeted at the health sector. Theoretical and empirical approaches to policy evaluation will be discussed and illustrated using examples from Switzerland and elsewhere. The course will focus on a critical analysis and understanding of policies and their evaluations, and will consider different research designs for causal inference of policy effects. |

Lernziele |
The objectives for this course are: (i) to understand the scope of evaluation and its theoretical background, (ii) to apply quantitative economic tools and political analysis to the evaluation of public health policies, and (iii) to critically assess current research in the field of health policy evaluation. |
