Inhalt |
This workshop will provide a comprehensive introduction to the Learning Health System (LHS). It will define and describe the LHS from a range of viewpoints. It will explain why many believe that the LHS can have transformational impact on individual and population health. It will emphasize the importance of sociotechnical infrastructure to an LHS that can operate with necessary economies of scale and scope. It will describe exemplars of LHS initiatives that are taking place around the world. It will describe the challenges of achieving an LHS, and how the current initiatives are addressing these challenges. It will offer strategies to those who are engaged in developing or planning to develeop a Learning Health System. |
Lernziele |
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
Describe the key elements of a Learning Health System (LHS)
Explain how LHS as an approach to health improvement differs from other approaches
Design a learning/improvement cycle to address a given health problem
Identify the elements of infrastructure necessary to a high-functioning LHS
Describe the steps to develop and sustain a learning community
Identify the essential elements of LHS governance |
