Umfang Blockveranstaltung
Inhalt This course will include a combination of lectures and individual work on a case scenario. During the lectures the students will have the opportunity to deepen their theoretical knowledge on selected health communication topics (e.g. health literacy, e-health, risk communication) that are particularly important for the practice. By working on a case scenario, the students will be asked to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired in the courses of Health Communication I & II to address real world practical challenges.
E-Learning All learning materials are provided via the E-learning platform Moodle.
Lernziele This course builds on and deepens some of the topics addressed in Health Communication I. By combining theory and practice, the course aims at providing the students with the knowledge and skills needed to work in the public and private sector involving health communication tasks.

Specifically, by the end of the course the students will be able:
• to master theories, methodologies and knowledge translation processes in health communication.
• to deal with health communication issues (e.g. an infodemic) faced by healthcare institutions, health promotion organizations and private companies (e.g. pharmaceutical companies).
Voraussetzungen Regular attendance and participation in class activities. Timely delivery of assignments. Successful oral exam.
