Inhalt This course provides students with skills to analytically and critically assess different kinds of intellectual property vis-à-vis society. It includes lectures on what intellectual property can protect – from films, to data, to software and pharmaceuticals – and the various issues that such protection might raise.
Lernziele By the end of this course, students will be able to:
• Identify and analyse the main characteristics of different intellectual property rights;
• Identify and evaluate potential political, social or cultural concerns relating to intellectual property and the commercialisation of intellectual property;
• Demonstrate intellectual independence, critical thinking and analytic rigour with respect the two foregoing course objectives.
