Inhalt |
The European Union ist the biggest «neighbour» of Switzerland and the biggest trading partner. Many of the EU economic laws have direct or indirect effects on Swiss enterprises. Therefore, an indepth analysis of the EU economic laws is an important asset for future Swiss lawyers as counselors for Swiss enterprises. The lecture will cover the economic fundamental freedoms and will i.a. explain how they changed the economic organisation of football by the UEFA. Further, issues of state aid, which will influence future bilateral treaties, will be adressed. In addition, the lecture will give an indepth analysis of EU competition law. In this area the EU has issued decisions with implications (esp. fines) for foreign companies as well: e.g. Swiss based or US based like Microsoft. Last but not least, the lecture will address «side» issues with a heavy impact even in Switzerland, like the data protection laws. |
