Inhalt |
This course serves as a foundational exploration of how health is conceptualized and operationalized in health sciences and of how population health can be improved through changes in health systems and health policy. Through engaging interactions with Professor Sabariego and Prof. Bickenbach, as well as group work with case scenarios, students will delve into health and its related concepts, gaining a profound comprehension of its complexity. |

Lernziele |
- Gain an in-depth understanding of health and health-related concepts, in line with WHO concepts and classifications.
- Develop the skills needed to comprehensively describe and understand a person’s health in the context of his or her life by using a range of case scenarios, fostering the ability to analyze complex health situations critically.
- Recognize the value of case scenarios as an initial and indispensable step for describing, understanding and influencing population health.
-Learn to identify and select appropriate interventions and strategies to improve health across various levels of the healthcare system. |
Voraussetzungen |
- At least 80% attendance.
- All assignments handed in.
- The examination must be graded at least with a 4.0, the sufficiency according to the Swiss examination scheme. |
