Inhalt	What happens when anthropology, prehistory, archaeology, linguistics, and genetics converge? In recent years, these fields have begun to break new ground by intertwining their methods, data, and ideas—sparked in part by the ground-breaking insights of ancient DNA. This interdisciplinary space has reshaped our grasp of humanity’s distant past, yet the picture remains incomplete. Genetics alone can’t unravel the story; it thrives only when enriched by the deep, nuanced perspectives of the human and social sciences. The Pacific, with its vibrant mosaic of societies past and present, offers a perfect stage for this disciplinary interplay. In this lecture series, we’ll explore the breakthroughs this collaborative frontier has unlocked, from reimagining ancient human journeys to tackling the thorny epistemological puzzles still in play. Alongside this, we’ll delve into the captivating sociocultural and linguistic diversity of Pacific worlds, illuminating how these interdisciplinary endeavours are unfolding and how anthropology and its sister disciplines hold vital keys to deeper understanding.
