Turnus Block Course
Inhalt This seminar is offered in cooperation with mobilzone holding AG. The company is seeking input from students on how to address a specific strategic challenge in the market for smartphones. Particular emphasis will be placed on Gen Z customer behavior, with a special focus on the trade-off between refurbished and new smartphones. Students will work in groups to develop solutions and present them to company representatives. At the end of the seminar, the best solution will be selected and awarded a prize.
Further details on the course schedule will be provided in due time.
Lernziele Students will learn to analyse a real-life business challenge and develop concrete recommendations for action, which they will present to company representatives. In doing so, students will learn how to support their proposed solutions with quantitative analyses and demonstrate the financial implications for the company.
Voraussetzungen No prerequisites for MA students; open to BA students from the 5th semester onwards.

For course information and materials, registration on the OLAT e-learning platform is required from 31 August – 6 September 2026. The students themselves are responsible for verifying the course’s creditability towards their degree program.

Leistungsnachweis ***IMPORTANT*** To receive course credit and earn academic credits, registration via the Uni Portal from 31 August (starting at 9:00 a.m.) – 6 September 2026 is MANDATORY.
Late registrations and withdrawals will not be accepted. Once the registration period has ended, participation in the course is MANDATORY. If the course is not completed without a valid reason and without proper withdrawal (including supporting documentation; see the Exam Guidelines), the course will be considered failed (grade 1).
