Inhalt - Brain anatomy: an overview of the brain's main regions and how they are identified and classified
- Sensory processing: how the brain receives and interprets information from the senses, including touch, pain, vision, smell, taste, and hearing
- Motor control: how the brain plans and coordinates movement
- Cognition and emotion: the brain regions and mechanisms underlying attention, memory, language, executive functions, and emotional responses
- Neuroimaging methods: an introduction to the main techniques used to study brain structure and function in living individuals
Lernziele - Map the brain's architecture: identify the major structures of the central nervous system and explain their functional roles.
- Understand how we sense and move: describe how the brain receives sensory information from the world and controls the body's movements
- Connect brain regions to mental functions: associate key functions such as memory, attention, and emotion to the areas of the brain responsible for them
- Use neuroscience research methods critically: understand how tools such as MRI and EEG are used to study the brain and evaluate what they can and cannot tell us
