A Learning Health System relies on cyclical processes to identify pressing challenges within the health system, synthesize relevant evidence, generate and evaluate policy options, and implement and monitor solutions. For these processes to be effective, it is essential to engage stakeholders and ensure that knowledge is translated into formats that support informed decision-making. This course offers a comprehensive exploration of the processes involved in developing evidence-informed health policies, with a strong emphasis on stakeholder engagement and knowledge translation. Participants will learn to identify complex ("wicked") health system challenges, analyze them within their contexts, map stakeholders, and co-create knowledge products aimed at informing and engaging relevant decision-makers. Through a combination of lectures, case studies, and group exercises, participants will design and present a knowledge product (e.g., video, podcast, infographic) that translates evidence into actionable policy recommendations. |
