What does it mean to be a professional in health sciences today?
This course focuses on the development of key competencies required for professional success beyond technical knowledge, including communication, teamwork, self-management, and reflective practice. It combines conceptual input with practical exercises to support students in shaping their professional identity and preparing for real-world challenges.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- Reflect on and articulate their professional identity
- Develop effective CVs and prepare for job interviews
- Communicate clearly and constructively in professional contexts
- Apply emotional intelligence and manage time effectively
- Work in teams and reflect on leadership dynamics
- Learn from real-world examples of success and failure
- Develop a personal professional development plan |

No prior experience is required. The course is open to students interested in developing professional competencies relevant to health sciences and beyond. |

Assessment consists of a written paper (final submission on 15 January), in which students critically reflect on their professional competencies, development trajectory, and future goals, integrating concepts and tools discussed in the course.
Regular attendance is recommended, although not mandatory.
