Inhalt	This two-half-day course provides a practical introduction to R and RStudio for students with little or no prior experience. It is designed as optional preparation for the quantitative part of the course Basic Research Methods. Topics include basic R syntax, importing and inspecting data, simple data manipulation, visualisation, and reproducible workflows. No previous knowledge of R is required. Basic computer skills, such as installing software and working with folders and directory structures, are recommended. Participants should bring a laptop on which R and RStudio can be installed.
Lernziele	By the end of the course, participants should be able to: • navigate R and RStudio and work with basic R objects, functions, packages, and scripts • import, inspect, and manipulate datasets, including working with vectors and data frames • create basic visualisations and organise a reproducible analysis
